Description:
Bulimia is an immersive and interactive narrative experience that draws from Shujing’s artistic expression of bulimia. This VR art project invites the audience to step inside the human body to explore the psychological and physical impact of bulimia. Through interactive storytelling and philosophical content, the artwork aims to illuminate the complex relationship between food, the body, and self-perception.

- Story -
Vain, who suffers from bulimia, is dieting. One day, driven by impulse, he loses control and begins a journey inside his own body...
Guided by his rational inner voice, Vain explores his body from mouth to stomach, discovering the harmful effects of bulimia. Inside his brain, he successfully changes his thought patterns, leading to a deeper appreciation and love for his body.

To prevent the psychological trauma triggered by a realistic style, I use a cartoonish visual style and toon shader to address profound topics
in a more lighthearted manner.
